Terms of Sale & Use

These terms apply when you use this website and when you buy one of our downloadable French study guides. Please read them before you order — placing an order means you accept them.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Parlons Français Daily, of Paldi, Ahmedabad, India. You can reach us at bonjour@parlonsfrancaisdaily.com. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Parlons Français Daily; "you" means the person buying or using the guides.

2. What we sell

We sell self-study French language guides as digital PDF files. Nothing we sell is a physical product, and nothing is posted to you. Currently we offer:

The descriptions, chapter counts and figures on this site describe the guides accurately at the time of publication. We may improve or expand a guide after you buy it; we are not obliged to, and any such update is provided at our discretion.

3. Placing an order

Checkout is not hosted on this website. When you click a buy or download button you are taken to our storefront at shop.parlonsfrancaisdaily.com, which is operated for us by Payhip. Payment is taken there by Payhip and its payment processors.

Your order is an offer to buy. The contract between us is formed when Payhip confirms your order and your download becomes available. If we cannot fulfil an order — for example because of a pricing error or a technical fault — we will tell you and refund anything you have paid in full.

Using Payhip's checkout also means you accept Payhip's own terms of service in respect of the checkout itself.

4. Prices and VAT

Prices are shown in euro (EUR). Prices displayed to consumers include VAT where VAT applies.

VAT on digital goods is charged according to the country you are buying from. Payhip determines your location at checkout and applies the correct rate, so the final amount shown at checkout is what you pay. If you are a VAT-registered business, you can enter your VAT number at checkout and the reverse charge will be applied where it is available.

We may change our prices at any time, but a change will never affect an order you have already placed.

5. Delivery and access

Delivery is immediate and electronic. As soon as payment clears, Payhip gives you a download link on screen and by email. Please make sure the email address you give at checkout is correct and can receive mail — check your spam folder if nothing arrives.

Download links can expire or be limited in number for security reasons. If your link stops working, or a file will not open or is corrupt, email us and we will get you a working copy. We do not charge for that.

You are responsible for having a device and PDF reader capable of opening the files, and for keeping your own backup once you have downloaded them.

6. Your licence to use the guides

When you buy a guide you are buying a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it. You are not buying the copyright.

7. Intellectual property

All content in the guides and on this website — text, explanations, exercises, layout, illustrations, the name "Parlons Français Daily" and our logo — belongs to us or is used by us under licence, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property law. Nothing in these terms transfers any of those rights to you.

8. Cancellation and refunds

Our guides are digital files delivered immediately. We refund where a file is faulty, will not download, or is not what you ordered — see our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. We do not otherwise offer refunds for a change of mind, except where you have a statutory right to cancel; consumers in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area have such a right for 14 days, as explained in that policy.

9. No guarantee of results

Our guides are educational materials. They are written to help you learn French, but how far you get depends on the time and effort you put in, and on factors we do not control. We do not promise or guarantee any particular level of proficiency, any exam result, or any official CEFR certification. References to A1 and A2 describe the level the material is pitched at; they are not a certification, and buying a guide does not confer one.

We take care to make the language content accurate, but we do not warrant that it is free of every error.

10. Website availability

We try to keep this website available and up to date, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time without notice. Links to other websites, including our Instagram and our Payhip storefront, are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for the content of sites we do not operate.

11. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded — including your statutory rights as a consumer, which these terms do not affect.

Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, or any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability arising out of any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is always the one published on this page, and the terms that apply to your purchase are the ones in force on the date you ordered. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of India, and the courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat have jurisdiction, subject to the paragraph below.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, nothing here deprives you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, nor of your right to bring proceedings in your own courts. Consumers in India also retain their rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
